Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps Performance in Peru Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top Maps and Navigation apps in Peru showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Yango — different from a taxi saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting with approximately 63K in early July and peaking at around 93K by late September. Its weekly active users mirrored this positive trend, growing from 219K to nearly 280K over the quarter. Revenue, however, remained minimal throughout.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced fluctuations in downloads, beginning the quarter with 71K and dropping to about 60K by the end of September. Interestingly, active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 750K, indicating strong user retention despite the download variations.

Phone Tracker had a notable spike in downloads mid-July, reaching 149K, but experienced a decline to just over 3K by the end of September. Its active user base also saw significant fluctuations, peaking at 195K in mid-August before stabilizing around 180K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, ranging from 16K to 20K weekly. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 357K and reaching 392K by the end of September, suggesting growing user engagement.

Finally, Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had consistent download numbers, peaking at approximately 24K in late July. Its active user base remained robust, increasing from 775K to over 800K, reflecting its continued popularity among users.
